New York City - On June 22, 2025, New Jersey will celebrate the Filipino American Friendship Day (officially commemorated every 4th of July since 1946) led by the Philippine American Friendship Community (PAFCOM) at the Lincoln Park in Jersey City. It will be the first time for Filipinos to hold the parade inside the park.

Join PAFCOM’s Philippine parade and festival on June 22, 2025 at the Lincoln Park in Jersey City.

The PAFCOM Parade and Festival begins with a Holy Mass at 10AM at the Lincoln Park and followed by a cultural parade at 11:30AM. “We will have a much longer route inside the park than the ones being traditionally done on the streets, thus there would be more fun and opportunity to watch the performers,” said PAFCOM president Joyce Castillo.

PAFCOM, now on its 35 years of existence as the biggest Filipino organization in NJ, debuts the parade inside the park instead of the city streets to create a more compact and longer route for spectators and marchers.

The parade starts at the entrance of Lincoln Park on Duncan Avenue and ends at the Lincoln Statue on JFK Avenue. Upon reaching the Lincoln Statue, the marchers and parading vehicles will make a u-turn and stop at the Reviewing Stand for the cultural performances. From the Reviewing Stand, the vehicles will proceed to exit through Duncan Avenue and marchers and spectators can proceed to the designated festival area in the park. The festival booths and entertainment will be up from 10AM to 6PM, promising a profuse display of food and wholesome entertainment. Headlining the entertainers is The Voice champion Sofronio Vasquez.

This year’s celebration is led by PAFCOM Grand Marshal Nora Galleros, the CEO of Galleros Robinson CPAs, LLP.

New Jersey is home to the biggest Filipino population in the East Coast, with an estimated population of 152,507 which accounts for 1.58% of the 4.4 million Filipinos in the US. The Philippine American Friendship Day celebration revolves on PAFCOM’s theme - celebrating culture, community, and connection. #
